Introducing the ASPIRE project |
|
‘ASPIRE’ is an acronym for ‘Audience Development for Sacred Places in the Regions of England’. The project has been inspired by the recently published ‘Sacred Britain’ Agenda for Action (see Project Documents/ASPIRE general information), which made the case for more action to open up the cultural heritage of historic churches and places of worship of many denominations and faiths.
ASPIRE will work entirely in collaboration with potential area- or region-wide faith heritage tourism groups, to draw up proposals for action to attract and develop new visitor audiences to enjoy and engage with the many and varied 'sacred places' of England. |
