Introducing the ASPIRE project |
|
‘ASPIRE’ is an acronym for ‘Audience Development for Sacred Places in the Regions of England’. The project has been inspired by the ‘Sacred Britain’ Agenda for Action (2006), which made the case for more action to open up the cultural heritage of historic churches and places of worship of many denominations and faiths.
ASPIRE seeks to work in collaboration with area- or region-wide faith heritage tourism groups, to prepare and promote proposals for action to attract and develop new visitor audiences to enjoy and engage with the many and varied 'sacred places' of England. |
